Collections Sound Bites

Inspire the next generation of music creators with Sound Bites, a dynamic collection that gives students direct access to the creative processes of leading Australian musicians. Developed in partnership with Arts Centre Melbourne and the Australian Music Vault, this series takes learners behind the scenes of contemporary music-making.

Through engaging video interviews and practical demonstrations, artists like Kram (Spiderbait), Girl Zone and Mo Komba share their techniques for songwriting, beatmaking and performance. Students learn how to generate ideas, layer sounds and bring original tracks to life using accessible tools and processes. Courses such as Beatmaking with Mo provide deeper skill development for students ready to explore digital production.

Teachers are supported with ready-to-use lesson ideas, creative prompts and flexible activities that cater to a range of skill levels. The resources are ideal for both individual exploration and collaborative projects.

Aligned to The Australian Curriculum: The Arts (Music), Sound Bites builds creativity, confidence and real-world industry insight—making it a powerful, classroom-ready resource for busy teachers.
