What is an ARTS:LIVE resource?

ARTS:LIVE resources are creative learning courses and activities that can be used with children and students. The content includes instructional videos, homework activity sheets, classroom activity sheets, teaching guides, lesson plans, and activities that can be completed at home.

Are the resources accessible for people with special needs?

Yes, all ARTS:LIVE resources are compliant to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA. Read more here.

Who made the resources?

The Song Room has partnered with many artists, arts organisations, and content and education specialists to develop the resources for ARTS:LIVE.

Why can't I access all of the resources?

Each ARTS:LIVE course has a different access level: Free, Registered, or Premium. If you see a padlock, it simply means that part of the course sits at a higher access level than your current plan. To unlock more content, you can:

Become a Registered user
Click the pink Register button in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Registration is free and gives you access to additional resources.
Upgrade to Premium
Go to your user icon (top right), select My Subscription, and follow the prompts.
Premium unlocks full access to all ARTS:LIVE courses and resources through a simple subscription fee, opening up hundreds of creative lessons, classroom‑ready activities, and unlimited creative learning.

How can I use the courses on ARTS:LIVE?

ARTS:LIVE can be used at home or in the classroom for your own use. The content contains a range of copyright protected material so there are some restrictions on how the content can be used that are outlined in the Terms and Conditions of this site.

Is ARTS:LIVE just for teachers?

No! ARTS:LIVE is available for everyone to register. Children of all ages, educators, parents and community groups alike can explore, learn and develop their creative skills. Whether you’re looking for in-depth, sequential classroom lessons, or activities to keep children busy at home in the holidays, there’s something for everyone!

Do I need to pay to access ARTS:LIVE?

Many courses on ARTS:LIVE are free so you don’t need to pay to access great creative learning content. However, to unlock all content on ARTS:LIVE, you can simply upgrade to a Premium subscription, which provides full access to every course and resource.

Can parents register for ARTS:LIVE?

Yes, parents can subscribe to ARTS:LIVE. There are a range of craft, art, media and music projects for children and adults to do together or individually. If you want to explore other ‘at home’ activities on the site, simply register above, log in and search for ‘at home’ in the search bar.

I’d like to register more multiple accounts. Can I get a bulk subscription?

Yes, the ARTS:LIVE team can arrange this for you. Please send an email to support@artslive.com.au.

How do I upgrade my ARTS:LIVE account?

Simply sign in and go to your user icon (far right side in the navigation bar) and then select My Subscription and follow the prompts.

What do I get for upgrading?

After upgrading to a Full Access ARTS:LIVE account you get access to many more creative courses and activities, with more released all the time.

My Account

I’m an Australian school teacher but I can’t validate my school because it’s not on the list. What should I do?

Try adding the suburb to the search to narrow it down. If you’re still having problems, please send an email to support@artslive.com.au so the ARTS:LIVE team can help you.

How can I update my details?

To update your details, sign in and go to your user icon (far right side in the navigation bar) and then select My Profile and follow the prompts.

How do I reset my password?

To reset your password, sign in and go to your user icon (far right side in the navigation bar) and then select My Profile and follow the prompts. We’ll send you an email to confirm the new password. To complete this step click on the link in the email.

What do I do if I can’t remember my password?

If you’re having trouble accessing your account click the Sign In button, then click ‘Forgot your password?’ and follow the prompts to reset your password.

I didn’t receive an activation email when I registered. What should I do?

Please check your spam folder for the activation email. If you still don’t have the activation email, please send an email to support@artslive.com.au so the ARTS:LIVE team can help you.

It appears I already have an account. What do I do?

Select the Sign In button and follow the ‘Forgot your password?’ steps.
