Learning Environments At Home

ARTS:LIVE contains a range of fun, creative ‘at home’ activities for children of all ages to enjoy. There are craft, art, media, dance and music projects for children and adults to do together or individually. Whatever you’re looking for, we’re sure you’ll find something fun to do after school, on the weekend or during school holidays.

ARTS:LIVE is user-friendly, so you don’t need to be an expert in the arts. The activities have been developed by artists and teachers, and are accompanied by easy to use videos, images and activity sheets so you can get the most out of ARTS:LIVE, and have fun in the process!

    Learn the Alphabet Dance

    Years 1-8, Secondary
    Alphabet Dance combines movement and chant, using your body in a percussive and rhythmic way. It can be performed in any style of dance and can include references to cultures, interests and experiences within the group. The dance requires you to create a series of movements that represents each letter of the alphabet, and then spell some simple words.

    Create An Alphabet Dance is the second component to creating your own version of the dance. Inventing transition moves and forming simple choruses helps to combine all the elements of the dance. Remembering all the moves is a workout for both your memory and your body!
